Congratulations to Joy, the winner of the Christmas tree decorating competition!
You did it, Joy! You’re our 1st place winner and have bagged yourself £1,000!
Wow – what a seasonal showstopper! We’ve voted this our favourite tree because, well, have you ever seen anything like it?!
The swirling bauble design is just out of this world and the modern tree topper makes it that little bit extra special. We also can’t get enough of the colour co-ordinated flowers!
Well done, Joy!

We love this tree for its outstanding illumination and the incredible branch fluffing technique is on point!
We’re also big fans of the elegant decorations, especially the miniature ice skates !
Well done, William!

Congratulations, Gill! You’ve won 3rd place in our Christmas Showcase Competition and bagged yourself £250!
This tree won us over with its playful personality and beautiful shape. We loved zooming in to see each of the adorable decorations (500 of them!) which you told us were collected from all over the world during your 42-year marriage. Simply adorable and a beautiful tree to boot!
Well done, Gill!
Donna Wilson Q&A
1. How did the winning money from Christmas Tree World Competition come in handy?
The prize money came in very handy as I was off work poorly so that cheered me up.
2. Any advice for competitors entering the Christmas Tree World Competition this year?
Take your time decorating your tree and try not to overload with too many decorations, choose a theme then it is easier to do.
3.Why did you choose Christmas Tree World for your festivities last year?
I like the good standard of Christmas Tree World products and the price is excellent, 5 of my friends went on to purchase from yourselves and I posted pictures of my Winter Wonderland theme just a couple of weeks ago and had over 1.7k likes and telling people where I bought my trees from.
4. What are your top tips for creating a stunning Xmas display?
Always fluff your tree first. Then I add lights and start from the inside of the tree to give fullness. I add baubles to the insides too and then continue my theme finishing off with tree picks as fillers and tree picks for the topper too. I don't like ribbon as I like to see the tree but that is just my choice.

Kelly Burns Q&A
1. How did you hear about the Christmas Tree World Competition?
Christmas is my favourite time of year, I had purchased a new tree from CTW & couldn't wait to get decorating it - I was notified about the competition via an email that explained that I was eligible to enter because of my recent purchase.
2. How did the winning money from the Christmas Tree World Competition come in handy?
The payment was really promptly put into my bank account after the winners were announced! It was great to receive the money just before Christmas! It was definitely a really unexpected but very appreciated boost that allowed for some extra shopping for those last minute buys just before the big day!
3. Any advice for competitors entering the Christmas Tree World competition this year?
Just do it! The excitement of it all was really enjoyable & it was great to see all the entries.
4. Will you be entering again this year?
I'd love to - I have never been able to decide on a theme for one of the trees in my house - a competition entry might be the motivation I need to finally decide on and commit to one.
5. What was your favourite element of your Xmas display last year?
That's a hard one, there's so many things. I'd have to say it's the element of fun, colour & cosiness that just comes with having all the decorations up!
6. What are you most looking forward to during this festive period?
A fun filled Christmas with friends & family, lots of mulled wine and just generally being able to spend time together.
7. What are your top tips for creating a stunning Xmas display?
A good display takes some initial planning. Once you have picked your theme, buy some key pieces and then build around them. It's important to pick a theme that you love and won't tire of too easily. That way you can build on the display year after year. Also, don't be afraid of trying your hand at making some pieces. My whole theme started when I made the tree topper. The theme just took off from there!
8. What are your chosen Christmas colour combinations this year?
The red & green is definitely sticking around this year but I may try to add an element of colour or texture to the biggest tree in the house to bring everything together
Natalie Alexander Q&A
1. How did the winning money from the Christmas Tree World competition come in handy?
I couldn't believe I had won third place! It came as a shock! I was over the moon though and the prize money definitely helped to make Christmas that little extra special.
2. Any advice for competitors entering the Christmas Tree World competition this year?
I would advise anyone to enter! I saw some of the tagged photos on their Instagram page and thought no way could I win against these, they were all gorgeous!
3. Will you be entering again this year?
I will definitely be entering again this year. I'm hoping for my tree to be better than ever so hopefully I can come in the top 3 again! That would be just incredible! It's not about the money to me, Christmas is by far my favourite time of the year and I have always had a vision of my perfect Christmas tree. I even made sure I added a bay window to my living room when we renovated it specifically to fit the sized tree I'd wanted! I believe I achieved my vision with the help of a beautiful tree from Christmas Tree World.
4. Why did you choose Christmas Tree World for your festivities last year?
I chose a tree from Christmas Tree World as I was looking for a tree that matched my vision. A wide, tall tree that had a lot of branch tips to make sure it was full and bushy. After seeing The Woodland Pine tree on their website and looking at the reviews I knew this was the perfect tree for me and I had to buy it. It has 2830 branch tips so I knew it would be full and fluffy with no gaps.
5. What was your favourite element of your Xmas display last year?
My favourite element of my Christmas display would definitely have to be the tree itself. Even with no lights and baubles it is the perfect shape size and size and has the perfect amount of fullness to it! The quality of the tree was exceptional if I'm honest and I was very impressed. The branches are already individually hooked on already which saves so much time when putting the tree up. All you have to do is slot the height sections together, the branches will drop down and then you just 'fluff' out the tips!
6. What are you most looking forward to during this festive period?
I’m looking forward to recreating my main tree from last year but I have more lights and more baubles for this years' display! Im also excited to purchase another tree from Christmas Tree World for my dining room. This year has been a tough year for everyone and I am looking forward to the darker nights, the cosiness of the Christmas lights twinkling in the background and just spending time with loved ones which we haven't been able to do much this year.
7. What are your top tips for creating a stunning Xmas display?
My top tips for decorating a Christmas tree: I always start with the lights. I always say to buy more lights than you think you'll need and having your Christmas tree lights on whilst you're putting them on the tree. I turn my main room lights off and stand back and see if there are any gaps. You can then fiddle with the lights until they are evenly spread around your tree. Then start with the largest baubles first and try to spread them out evenly amongst your tree. Then work your way down in size with the baubles, filling in all the gaps. Also dont put baubles and lights on your tree in places where nobody will see them (like against a wall etc) you will then have more to decorate the rest of your tree with.
8. What are your chosen Christmas colour combinations this year?
My colour combination is always whites and glitter. I just feel like it represents a snowy feel and thats what I like for my tree at christmas. I always go for cool white lights also as it reminds me of stars. But everyone has different tastes and that's what makes Christmas special. People can use their imaginations and also get their children involved and make it as magical as possible. That's what Christmas is about!
